Being diagnosed with diabetes as a young woman was like a shock for Birgitta Veit – she suffered from stress that didn’t stop. Today she knows that this „diabetes distress“ is a female phenomenon. She tells the „Krone“ how to combat it. However, diabetes also affects women more than men in other areas.
„I was 19 years old and full of joie de vivre,“ recalls Birgitta Veit from Linz. But suddenly she had symptoms and was diagnosed with diabetes.
